Miley Cyrus was unaware of any alleged “drama” surrounding her sister Noah Cyrus, mother Tish Cyrus and her mom’s new husband Dominic Purcell, a source told PEOPLE exclusively.
“Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. She had no idea at all,” an insider said of the “Flowers” singer, 31, after a source revealed earlier this week that Noah, 24, and Purcell, 54, were seeing each other second before marriage to Tish, 56.
“She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a weird situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy,” the insider adds.
Reps for Miley, Tish, Noah and Purcell did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Sunday. Noah’s rep did not comment this week on the alleged relationship between her and Purcell.

Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE that younger sister Cyrus “was offended” by her mother’s relationship with Escape from prison star.
The insider claimed that Noah and Purcell had already gotten together and stopped seeing each other before the actor and Tish resumed their relationship.
“Noah and Dominic were seeing each other like friends with benefits, all the time. They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something,” the source said, adding that “Tish knew he was seeing Noah.”
“Tish never gave Noah a chance to talk about all of this before they got married,” the insider also noted.

Tish and Purcell’s wedding took place more than a year after Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from Tish in April 2022, after more than 28 years of marriage. The former couple have daughters Brandi (36), Miley and Noah, as well as sons Trace (35) and Braison (29). Billy Ray is also the father of 31-year-old Christopher Cody from a previous relationship.
The divorce wasn’t “easy for either kid,” an insider told PEOPLE this week, adding that “the divorce was really hard, but it was also a long time coming.”
