The cute forest scene features a cunning animal that appears to be climbing a tree while three eagle birds are watching.

But camouflaged among the vegetation, 12 other pairs of eyes secretly watch you.

Have no fear if you’re having trouble finding one, because the puzzle has baffled illusion lovers since American graphic artists Currier and Ives created it in 1872.

Now, after nearly 150 years, The Confused Fox has reared its bewildering head again to challenge a new audience.

The fox is surrounded by other animals, including a horse, a lamb, and a now-extinct homing pigeon.

You can also see a sheep nesting at the foot of a tree, while a wild boar lurks in the undergrowth.

Three human faces are also obscured by the trunk on the left, while the other two adorn the tree on the right.

And there are some more covered faces on the forest floor that need to be deciphered as well.

The perplexing optical illusion left many viewers rubbing their eyes in anguish after struggling to spot the hidden heads.

If you like riddles, why don’t you try this brain teaser and see if you can find the cat hidden in this picture?

And if you want to show off your detective skills even more, this optical illusion hides an animal in plain sight, but can you see it?
