The clip shows a half black, half white sheet of paper on a table with an uninspiring engraved ring.

Other pieces feature spinning gears, floating clouds and a block that magically spins using a tricky optical illusion technique.

The clip’s description, shared by TheRichest on YouTube, reads: “This clever, age-old technique creates a multi-frame animation on a single sheet of paper.

“By manipulating the mind and the eyes, these still images come to life with a single scratch card.”

Meanwhile, another optical illusion claims to be able to tell you about the state of your brain just by how much you can find in a busy image.

The pencil drawing was shared on TikTok by DarkSeidy, who wrote: “They say if you can find 7 people and a cat in a photo, your brain is at its best.

And another impressive optical illusion left viewers scratching their heads as it made the bricks look very wobbly.
