Mindy Kaling’s Chunky Sneakers Persuaded Us to Refresh Our Closet Thanks to One Eye-Catching Detail

Choosing the right sneakers for a day at the theme park is no small task, so Mindy Kaling is prepared.

Star of The Mindy Project she recently took her kids to Universal Orlando Resort, where she wore a pair of chunky New Balance shoes known for having plenty of cushioning. She shared a few pictures of the day on Instagram, showing off her New Balance 1906Rs.

When you imagine a pair of dad shoes, chunky New Balance sneakers might be the first thing that comes to mind. Jennifer Aniston has worn the brand, and Kaling apparently trusts it enough to wear it to one of the world’s biggest theme parks. Her 1906R sneakers are anything but subtle in their styling, which is why we love them as a fun alternative to classic white sneakers.
