Micaela Erlanger is ready for a new chapter in her life.
The celebrity stylist, who works with the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Meryl Streep, Kelly Clarkson and more — announced on Instagram on Dec. 11 that she and her husband of two years, William “Mac” Osbourne , each went his own way.
“This is me: 38, back in New York and divorced,” she began her long and emotional statement.
“Over the past 10 months, I have struggled with the idea of sharing something that was so painful and private. I am aware of how much the change in my personal life has been obvious to others, however, I have needed time to heal and process this experience on my own,” she continued. Erlanger said in his statement.
She went on to note that she’s “feeling confident” these days since she and Osbourne filed for divorce in March of this year, and she’s “rediscovering true happiness.”

The two were together for eight years before eloping to St. Barths in May 2021 and had a lavish ceremony in April 2022 in Miami. Erlanger wrote on Instagram that she never expected to leave her marriage “so soon after entering it,” but it was something she had to do after the “hurt” she went through.
“And so with that, as we end the year, I declare: I’m going after the things I want in my life! And for my life! And I still believe in love! I know in my soul that everything will come,” she concluded her post, ending with : “As the saying goes, a comeback is always stronger than a setback. And that rings very true. The second chapter begins now.”

When Erlanger married Osbourne, Nyong’o was by her side as one of her bridesmaids. The stylist worked with Black panther actress for years, dressing her for numerous awards shows, events and everything in between. Nyong’o, who recently went through a breakup herself, commented on Erlanger’s Instagram, writing, “Thank you for sharing your love and pain over her loss. I’m in your corner rooting for you.”
