“This time, it’s here to stay!” wrote the restaurant chain about its fan-favorite entree
Friendly fans, rejoice!
The restaurant chain announced earlier this week that its beloved mini mozzarella sticks are back on menus nationwide.
“This iconic appetizer is back by popular demand,” Friendly’s said in a press release obtained by PEOPLE.
The fan-favorite meal left Friendly’s menus in 2022, but the company decided to bring back the “crunchy, cheesy goodness” after “fans clamored for their return on social media and even started a Change.org petition.”
“This time, it’s here to stay!” the chain added a menu item, consisting of 30 mini mozzarella sticks and served with marinara sauce.

Along with the return of the mini mozzarella sticks, Friendly’s also announced several new additions to the menu, including Mac & Cheese, a fried clam basket, and the Friendly’s Patty Melt.
The chain similarly revealed the addition of two new grilled cheese products — America’s Best Grilled Cheese, which features “a cheesy combination of Tillamook white cheddar and sharp cheddar melted between sourdough bread,” and Sweet & Savory Marionberry Grilled Cheese , which is “stuffed with pepper jack with Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese and marionberry habanero pepper jelly melted between sourdough bread,” according to Friendly’s.
Wings will also be available at Friendly’s locations nationwide, in flavors including Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ, Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan, Honey Mustard and Friendly’s Signature Sauce. (All wings come with a choice of ranch or blue cheese dip.)
Friendly’s also said it is introducing a Senior Menu and a Pick 2 Lunch Combo Menu. The former will offer “perfect-sized, value-priced meals” for guests 60 and older, the chain detailed, while the latter will allow guests to choose from salads, soups and sandwiches/burgers for just $9.99.”
“We’re excited about never-before-seen desirable items on our new menu – and of course, the return of the beloved Mini Mozz sticks,” said Dawn Petite, president of Friendly’s Restaurants. “When our guests come to Friendly’s, they usually have their favorite things in mind. It is our pleasure to bring them the food they love and help create unforgettable moments that last a lifetime!”
