The Minnesota Twins just hit a big milestone on Wednesday. The MLB team won its first playoff series in 21 years, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 2-0 at Target Field.
As a result, the Twins celebrated with champagne, glasses and lots of smiles as they turned their locker room into the biggest party in the country.
Photos from the team’s locker room showed the players pouring champagne on each other β and themselves β as they danced around in celebratory style.

The official Twins Instagram account also joined in the fun after the win, posting a slideshow of some notable players toasting their historic, drought-ending victory. They included pitcher Joe Ryan, pitcher Kyle Farmer, pitcher Louie Varland, pitcher Carlos Correa, pitcher Pablo LΓ³pez Serra, middle outfielder Byron Buxton and pitcher Royce Lewis.
And for some players, like Matt Wallner, the celebration included popping champagne in the middle of the interview.
“Getting a little WILD!!! π€ͺ,” Twins captioned an Instagram slideshow of slides from the celebration.

The Twins’ last postseason victory was in 2002, during the American League Division Series against the Oakland Athletics, writes CBS Sports.
“Everything is October. The mentality is different. I just give it all out there, everything I have,” Correa told CBS News. “I’m going to continue to do that the rest of the time I’m here in Minnesota.”

The win in the Wild Card Series means the Twins will now face the Houston Astros in the American League division as they hope to bounce back against the defending World Series champions.
Their first game against the Astros is scheduled for Saturday, October 7 in Houston.

Minnesota Twins manager hails Twin Boys: ‘Talk about being committed’
The twins, meanwhile, may have some new charms in their vicinity, after team manager Rocco Baldelli and his wife Allie welcomed the twins last month.
News of the manager’s twins comes as news of the team account on X (formally known as Twitter) uploaded a beautiful photo of the two little ones. “Talk about being committed to your work,” the image’s caption reads. “Congratulations to the Baldelli family on welcoming twin boys into their family!! πΆπ»πΆπ».”
