Miranda Lambert has a pretty cool new family member!
The country star, 40, is now the proud mum of a horse named Cool, who she called “one of the sweetest horses I’ve ever met”.
“He does it all with grace and patience and has already taught me so much. In the last few months I’ve taken up horseback shooting and made some amazing new friends in the process, including this handsome guy,” Lambert shared on Instagram.
She explained that Cool came into her life “when I needed a challenge and to try something new”.

“I turned 40 in November and I’m ready for a decade of pushing myself to be better and braver, personally and professionally. This feels like the perfect start to that journey,” explained Lambert.
The “If I Was a Cowboy” singer credited rider Kendi Lenseigne with helping her find a horse that was “a match in cowgirl heaven.”
“Mark and Karen Plumlee loved this horse very much and kindly entrusted him to me for his next adventures. Get ready, this is where the country and western begins,” added Lambert.
In February, Lambert traveled to Arizona with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, to take lessons from Lenseigne.

Miranda Lambert is donating $20,000 to animal shelters in celebration of Valentine’s Day
“Literally. He doesn’t ride, but he figured it out pretty quickly. Kenda, you made a cowboy out of our New York boy. 😂🤠🐴. We celebrated 5 years of marriage on a horse this year. I love you baby. ❤️ couples who cowboy together. ..,” wrote Lambert on Instagram.
In February 2019, the musician revealed that the two had secretly married and called him “the love of my life.”
During the performance at Tamron Hall Showu January, she noted that one of the things she likes most about McLoughlin is that he is a “truth-taker.”

“My husband tells me the truth. It gives me a harsh reality and I love it. I like to say he calls me on my s—, which I love because everyone needs someone in their life like a truth teller. He’s very New York about it,” she said.
