Renee Graziano reflects on her near-fatal overdose last year.
55 year old Wives of mobsters alum appeared on this week’s episode of Bunnie XO’s Stupid blonde podcast where she talked about being hospitalized after taking fentanyl drugs. She admitted that her struggle with drugs was at a low point in her life.
“I’m burnt out because of this. I just lost my whole life. I couldn’t get air,” she said, noting that her sister Jennifer Graziano “didn’t talk to me for a year and a half.”
“Everything in my life was falling apart,” she continued. “My son [AJ Pagan] he didn’t want to talk to me. Nobody wanted to talk to me. Everything just started piling up and piling up. I gave up.”
Bunnie XO then noticed that Graziano was also dealing with the death of her father, Anthony Graziano, a former Bonanno family consigliere.
“I just lost with…, man. On September 18, someone gave me a bag of fentanyl,” Graziano said, explaining that she received a bad batch of an unspecified drug she was hoping to get. “I died in a restaurant in Florida. I was dead, intubated for three days. No one in my family came to the hospital and I spent nine days there learning to walk again.”
“That was it for me,” she said, noting that she doesn’t remember anything from the overdose. “Three days have been erased from my brain. I don’t even know what happened.”

Graziano said the near-death experience — plus her family not being there — finally made her turn her life around and check into rehab not long after.
“They said I wouldn’t make it and that my family just couldn’t do it,” she said. “And I don’t blame them. I put them through hell.”
Graziano previously checked into rehab in 2012 after she was arrested for crashing into a parked 2020 Jeep Wrangler, which was unoccupied at the time, and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
The reality star reportedly told authorities she had taken Adderall before the crash.
Grazia’s publicist later confirmed to PEOPLE that she was entering rehab, adding that “it is not due to any current drug or alcohol use.”
A rep said at the time, “Her choice to enter rehab was entirely her own. She made this decision for the betterment of her son AJ [Pagan]life, as well as improve her physical, mental and spiritual health.” She was reportedly at the Transitions rehab center in Miami.
