- At the age of 23, he first met Jonathan Augustine, the director of the film “Elevator Boy”. Two years later, when he gave up his acting career and was about to join a call center, he learned that a director was making an independent film. Moin tried a small role in “Elevator Boy”, but the role was eventually cut from the film. However, Jonathan was very interested in him and invited him to audition for the lead role in the film. In the end, Moin was chosen to star in the film. Talking about Moin’s casting, Jonathan said:
He came to audition for a small role and I just had a casual chat with him when he came in. He didn’t know I was the director. He was willing to do anything for acting. His acting was terrible, his lines were bland, he was like a wooden man. But I liked his energy, so I asked him to audition for the lead role. The casting team put him in the “NG” (not good) folder. Luckily, I was in the office that day, and that’s why he was chosen for the role. But it’s all thanks to him, he put a lot of effort into it. That’s why he was chosen for the film.
