Moment Andrew Tate defends slamming Amanda Holden’s bikini pic as he tells Piers Morgan ‘I’m reminding her of her worth’

SHAMELESS Andrew Tate has defended criticizing Amanda Holden’s bikini picture in an explosive row with Piers Morgan – and insisted he “reminded her of her worth”.

The disgraced influencer – who is facing trial for sex trafficking – was charged after he claimed TV darling Amanda, 52, was too old to pose in swimwear.

It was one of many topics discussed in the explosive interview, as Piers Morgan also repeatedly challenged Tate on his views on women, politics and the recent allegations against him.

The first part of Piers Morgan’s uncensored interview with the disgraced influencer aired on Talk TV last night.

A preview clip shows Piers asking Tate why a 52-year-old woman showing off her body is so different to a 36-year-old man posing topless.

“You tweeted a picture of Amanda Holden, my good friend,” Piers began.

“It’s a very harmless picture. She’s in a bikini on holiday in the rain and she looks incredibly beautiful.”

“In a sex position,” Tate interrupts.

When Piers called him out for his misogynistic comment, the former kickboxer replied: “You can call me crazy, you can call me a misogynist, but I don’t think once you hit the ripe old age of 50 any woman should be interested in Instagram trap thirst .

“I think she has bigger responsibilities, I’m sure she’s a very intelligent woman and she’s done amazing things.

Tate said Amanda is “obviously very capable” and could be doing more interesting things than “standing around trying to quench her thirst on Instagram like she’s 18.”

Shouting, the 36-year-old added: “I think she’s above that. I wasn’t insulting her, I reminded her that she’s actually such a fantastic person, she’s done such amazing things in her life and she’s so accomplished, she’s actually beyond grasping thirst.

“I reminded her of her value, because as a feminist — we’re all feminists here, right, we all believe in empowering women — I remind her of her value.”

Piers took issue with the influencer’s apparent double standards as Tate often shares snaps “showing off her ripped body”.

He replied: “I think me boxing shirtless is different from a 50-year-old woman writing…”

Piers cut him off, provoking an argument: “You don’t just box, I’ve seen you do the ones where you wander around all moody with your cigar and you’re topless and that’s what suits you?”

“Are you a Piers fan?” asks Tate.

It comes after Piers insisted he “held Andrew Tate’s feet to the fire” as he teased his upcoming interview with the Tate brothers.

Asked how he balanced holding his interviewer accountable without platforming him, Piers Morgan said: “Should you platform him [Tate]?

“I think with characters like this, the more light you shine, the better it actually is – the more you hold them to the fire.

“I told them, ‘I’m not here to be judge and jury for the very serious offenses you’re charged with.

“That will be for the court – as it should be.”

“I pretty much make him do things where he tries to say ‘I was being sarcastic,’ so, do you mean it or not?”

Piers added that he did not know if Tate was “as bad as these allegations suggest he is” or if it was all part of a plot.

Former kickboxer Tate and his brother Tristan were released on March 31 from a hellish prison where they had been under house arrest for three months.

But the couple, who hold dual US and British citizenship, have now been formally charged.

They are awaiting trial in Romania on charges of human trafficking and setting up a criminal ring to exploit women – charges they deny.
