THIS is the shocking moment a group of greedy gobblers who “ordered £390 worth of steak and carbonara refuse to pay”.
CCTV footage showed the men, women and children having a shameful party at their feast at La Banca Italian restaurant in Selsey, West Sussex, before fleeing.

There were six children and four adults at the party, who all enjoyed ragu and carbonari dishes
Furious restaurant owner Neil Kimber slammed the group of ten and said they “should be named and shamed”.
“They said the food was rubbish and didn’t pay before pulling out a wedge of around £1,000 in cash and throwing away £60 after I said the drink they’d had couldn’t have been rubbish,” he said.
– They knew what they were doing.
Diners reserved a table for eight on Saturday night, but two more came.
Among them were six children and four adults, who all enjoyed ragu dishes and carbonara.
“B***rds like you are going to bring down a small business like us,” Neil continued.
“There are a lot of small businesses like us in Selsey that could be crippled by this.
“I got a bill for £400 from the butcher across the road.
“This table would pay for it.”
The family restaurant was stunned to see the group targeting them.
– My partner saw the vehicle on the High Street – continued the owner in disbelief.
Unfortunately, according to the proud business owner, “constant” dining is becoming “more and more common” in the area.
He added that the shameless thieves “took advantage” of the “sleeping city”.
“We are a family restaurant and we value our reviews,” he said.
“All our food is locally sourced and made with local produce.”
Neil reported the incident to the police but said there was “nothing they could do”.
He said that while he doesn’t want to charge clients up front, the situation is getting worse.
“These people need to be named and shamed,” Neil fumed.
It comes after a greedy family of eight were caught stuffing their faces with £329 worth of food – only to leave without paying.
The shameless clan dined on T-bone steaks, more than a dozen soft drinks and dug into a second helping of dessert when they visited Bella Ciao Italian in Port Talbot, near Swansea.
Bernard McDonagh, 41, and his wife Ann McDonagh, 39, were later found guilty of five counts of fraud at Swansea Magistrates’ Court.
Elsewhere, a woman boasted she was the restaurant’s ‘most wanted’ after allegedly defrauding hundreds of pubs and restaurants.
The serial offender was repeatedly caught on CCTV carrying out her plan as she toured halls in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole.
Meanwhile, two men stuffed their faces with over £110 worth of food before fleeing a Vietnamese restaurant in a “perfect plan”.
They sipped beer and ate spicy beef pho, rice and noodles for two hours at Viet80s in Nottingham.
In addition, a pub was ravaged by a ‘dinner and drink’ family of 12, who ran out with a £260 bill – including a steak and ten pints.
And watch the shocking moment a group of pensioners turned up to distract staff from allegedly skipping a £100 note was caught on camera.
THE DINE-AND-DASH LAW EXPLAINED
If a customer or group ‘eat and chase’ they could be charged under section 3 of the Theft Act 1978.
This applies to people who eat out and leave without paying.
Failure to pay when it is known that the goods or services must be paid for is considered theft.
