Non-profit organization The Wildcat Sanctuary shared a video on TikTok of cunning tigers subtly hiding in the tall grass from wildlife, which has since gone viral for its optical illusion and educational purpose.

Known on TikTok as the Wild Cat Sanctuary, the sanctuary is located in Sandstone, MN and provides a natural sanctuary for feral cats in need and inspires change to end the wildlife crisis.

The TikTok video was intended as a warning about the unsafeness of entering any enclosure with a feral cat.

As the video pans across a field of tall grass, the speaker states that tigers are instinctive animals that can attack before you even know they’re there.

“Can you see a tiger? Probably not, but a tiger can see you,” the announcer says at the beginning of the video.

The speaker in the video emphasizes that no amount of trust can rob an animal of its primal instinct.

The viewer is then taken on a journey to four separate locations where they must see the tiger hidden in each location in the video.

At first glance, they can be hard to spot, but as the camera zooms into each position, the tiger becomes visible.

“Did you see this cat?” says the speaker as the image changes to another place of wild animals filled with great cuteness.

This would be a great time for the viewer to pause the video, assess the image, and try to spot the other feral cat that has made a safe home base in a hidden spot in the video.

“Whether you are or not, it’s never worth the risk to you or the cat,” says the speaker.

The speaker then shows some more “test” footage to share some scenarios where a feral cat might be lurking nearby, such as curling up under a tree or lying down in a field of tall flowers and grass.

The general theme of the video is an optical illusion that is intended to entertain and educate the audience on wildlife safety.

Please remember that the best way to love a wild animal is always from a distance.

The educational video garnered more than 80,000 likes, with viewers expressing their desire for more wildlife safety content in the comments.

“Make a series of this! Fun and educational,” commented one viewer.

“Glad to finally be in a contactless TikTok big cat sanctuary! I’ve seen many accounts normalizing petting from cats, not fans,” added another.

“This is the type of bill I can support,” said another.
