Former glamor model Price, 46, was arrested on an airport tarmac – nine days after a High Court judge issued a warrant for her arrest.

Katie laughed it off as she soaked up the sun at a five-star hotel in Istanbul, Turkey, before returning home to face the music.

She flew from the UK to Istanbul on a British Airways flight just hours before she was due to appear in court last Tuesday as part of her £760,000 bankruptcy battle.

Katie, 46, accompanied JJ and Harvey on the face-changing holiday.

The former Page 3 girlfriend landed back in the UK on a British Airways flight at 19:20 on Thursday.

The former glamor model was due to appear in person at the Royal Courts of Justice today after being arrested.

But The Sun understands she was granted bail in the middle of the night and will instead appear at the High Court remotely.

It came after a Met spokesman said last night: “A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 7.45pm on Thursday 8 August for failing to appear in court.

“She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday 9 August.”

In a statement yesterday, Price pleaded for “protection” for her son Harvey.

She wrote: “I am aware that I will be detained at the airport, which is apparently what the courts feel is necessary.

“Of course, I hope for the sake of my sons who are with me that they will allow me some dignity and protection at least for his sake because it will be extremely upsetting for him.

“Even though I understand the importance and seriousness of the matter, I feel like I’m being treated like a criminal.”

The mother-of-five was ordered to pay £25,000 to creditors in one lump sum, followed by monthly installments of £12,500.

Judge Burton said Katie had failed to make court-ordered payments.

“She has no real excuse for not coming to the hearing,” she said.

“The reason for her absence is irrelevant.”

Katie has been served with an eviction notice ordering her to vacate her £2million Mucky Mansion by the end of May as bailiffs swooped in.

She was supposed to hand over her six cars – a Volkswagen Beetle, a Nissan, two Range Rovers, a Suzuki Vitara and an Infiniti FX50 – on July 5.

The star also indicated she would hand in her pink Range Rover but has so far failed to do so, the court was told.
