After graduation, she joined ING Vysya Bank in Ahmedabad. One of her yoga teachers suggested her to participate in the beauty pageant “Mirchi Queen Bee” organized by Radio Mirchi in 2011, which she participated in and won. Later, she won the Miss Gujarat title and went on to participate in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant, where she became a finalist. In 2010, she played the role of Jharna in the popular Hindi television series “Adaalat” (2010). In 2012, she made her debut in the Telugu film “Sudigadu”, for which she was nominated for the SIIMA Best Debut Actress Award. She went on to act in several Telugu films, including “Vennela 1 ½” (2012), “Oka College Story” (2013), “Brother of Bommali” (2014) and “Devdasi” (2017).
She has acted in Hindi films such as Mai (2012) and Kaagaz (2019). Monal has also acted in many Malayalam, Tamil and Marathi films including Dracula 2012 (2013, Malayalam), Sigaram Thodu (2014, Tamil), Vanavarayan Vallavarayan (2014, Tamil) and Man Udhaan Vara (2019, Marathi). - In 2011, Monal sent her photo to the Mirchi Queen Bee competition. In an interview, she said:
I made it clear in my letter that I would not be able to attend the audition due to my 9 to 5 job. I would not wear makeup on those days and would wear a simple salwar suit to the event.
- In 2012, she made a special appearance in legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle’s film Mai.
- Even before her first film released in 2012, she had signed five films in Tamil and Telugu.

For me, I totally live by the saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” I love to chow down on apples! I usually try to eat as healthy as possible. But I do eat as many apples as I can because it’s one fruit I really love to chow down on. In addition to that, healthy fresh fruit and vegetable juices are also something I drink regularly. My daily exercise routine includes walking, jogging, skipping rope, and squats. ”
