More than 70 inhabitants were evacuated from the street after the discovery of deadly explosive chemicals in the property.
Police officers were called on a trip to St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex on Thursday.

About 73 people, including children and dogs, were forced to move from the Marina road A259 to a nearby hotel.
They have not yet been able to return to their homes after a 100-meter cordon has been placed.
On Friday, a “big incident” was declared, while the surgery continued to make the chemicals safe.
The explosive office departure team confirmed that chemicals could “represent a threat of life”.
The Boma Detachment has performed controlled combustion of explosive chemicals as they continue to work to make an additional 500 canists.
The 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of creating illegal substances and making an explosive substance for an illegal purpose.
Sussex police spokesman said it is not yet known when the passengers will be allowed to return or whether the Hastings half marathon will go forward on Sunday as planned.
He said: “On Thursday (March 20), significant progress was made in creating safe chemicals found in the house at the A259 in St Leonars.
“The exemption team of the explosive offices (EOD) successfully removed the deceiving chemicals from the house and performed a controlled burns in a skip near the sea wall.
“Eod tests continue this morning because of any other dangerous material in the house to ensure that the house does not appear from the explosive material and that the area is safe.
“About 500 additional canists containing unknown chemicals have also been discovered, although they are not considered explosive.
“They will be examined and evaluated by the fire and rescue service of Eastern Sussex and national experts after completing the EUD search.
“The initial evaluation of Eod found large quantities of one material that pointed to explosive elements in it.
“Scientific experiments are now being taken to determine the exact nature of the chemical.”
A spokesman added that the arrested suspect was now detained under the Mental Health Act as the investigations continued.
Chief Inspector James Scott said: “All partners work hard to deal with the incident as quickly as possible and allow residents to return to their homes as soon as they are safe.
“We appreciate everyone’s support and constant patience. We know it was incredibly devastating.
“The investigations, however, are from the evidence collected so far, there is no indication that a 28-year-old man was arrested to harm anyone else.
“We can’t put the exact time frame when the cordon will be reduced and residents can return to their homes, but we should know more late in the afternoon.
“We believe that the Decision on Half Marathon will be made at about this point. Further updates will be submitted as much as possible.”
