Morgan Wallen’s mom, Lesli, is calling out the city of Nashville after her son’s bar sign proposal was rejected: ‘Well done’
At the time, Councilwoman Delishia Porterfield noted Wallen’s past behavior as she explained her decision, including his felony charges at the time for throwing a chair off the roof of a sixth-floor bar and being seen using racial slurs in a video uncovered in 2021.
“We want to make sure that Nashville is a supportive place for everyone, so I don’t want to see a billboard with the name of a person who throws chairs off a balcony and says racial slurs, using the N word, so I’m voting no,” she said.
News of the sign approval comes days after Wallen appeared in court to accept a plea deal and was convicted in a chair-throwing incident in April.
