In Game of Thrones and its predecessor series House of The Dragon, there are some really strong dragons. The most powerful are called Balerion Black Dread, Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal. Balerion, who was the largest and most feared dragon, helped Aegon the Conqueror take control of Westeros.

Drogon, one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons, is known for being very large, aggressive and capable of destroying armies. Viserion, another dragon, was killed and then brought back to life by the Night King as an ice dragon, making him incredibly strong.

Viserion

Viserion, the smallest of Daenerys’ dragons, had beautiful gold and cream colored scales. Named after her angry brother, Viserys, he had a calm demeanor but could become violent if necessary. Unfortunately, Viserion was felled by the Night King and reanimated as his mount.

Caraxes

Caraxes, the Blood Wyrm, was a fierce and clever dragon from his youth, earning him the name Blood Wyrm. At first it was taken by Prince Aemon and they fought bravely, but unfortunately Caraxes was killed in the battle against Dorne. However, that was not the end of his story. Aemon’s nephew, Daemon, later took over Caraxes and they fought many battles together, making Caraxes as skilled as the mighty Vhagar.

Drogon

Drogon, Daenerys’ first and largest dragon, was named after her first husband, Khal Drogo. It had striking red and black colors and created the strongest connection with Daenerys. But in time, Drogon became calm enough for Daenerys to ride him into battle, showing off his incredible power and strength.
