Mrunal gained more attention after starring in the 2015 Hindi thriller film “Drishyam”, a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film “Drishyam”. In the film, Ajay Devgn plays her father Vijay Salgaonkar and Shriya Saran plays her mother Nandini Sargaonkar.
She played the role of Namye in the 2019 drama film Me Pan Sachin directed by Shreyash Jadhav. Marathi actor Swapnil Joshi has been cast as Sachin Patil, the son of iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar fan.
Mrunal played the role of Shreya in the Marathi horror film Bhaybheet, which was released in 2020 and was directed by Deepak Naidu.
In 2022, she starred in the Marathi short film “Avasaan”, which depicted the struggles of a farmer and his family. She plays Sarika Karpe Patil with Kishore Kadam who plays her father Sahebrao Karpe Patil Alongside Veena Jamkar who plays her mother Maltibai Karpe Patil.
