Mudassar Khan was born on October 20, 1987 in Mumbai to a lower-middle-class family (age 36; as of 2023). He studied at MTS Khalas High School, Goregaon, and graduated from Prakash Degree College, Kandivali. At the age of eight, he became interested in dance as his family faced some financial problems. So he started teaching dance in school to earn some money and help his family. He always had a passion for dance. But he never thought of it as a career.
Muddassar Khan participated in and won many dance competitions. During one such match, Mudassar Khan got a chance to meet Salman Khan. Salman Khan was impressed by his choreography and offered a song for his next film. From here, his journey as a choreographer began.

Mudassar Khan started dancing at the age of eight. In the beginning, dancing was his hobby. Due to financial situation, he started teaching dance at Thakur Public School in Kandivali, Mumbai at the age of 13-14. He worked there from 2001 to 2007 and also taught dance at several dance academies. Later, in 2004, he formed a hip-hop dance group called Sharp Shooters.
He has participated in different dance competitions as a group and as a solo dancer. He was performing at a dance competition in a mall in Mumbai, where Salman Khan was the judge. Muddassar’s team won the competition and he got a chance to choreograph a song for Salman Khan’s film Dabangg. According to Muddassar, Salman Khan was a man sent by God who changed his life. Just like after Dabangg, there was no turning back for him.

After Dabangg, he choreographed many other songs for Salman Khan, but he came to the limelight with DID Season 4 (2013); he was one of the three judges on the show. He then served as a judge on DID Lil Masters Season 3 (2004), following Singapore Dance Season 2 (2017) and DID Season 6 (2017).
From 2010 to 2017, he worked as a choreographer for more than 20 films, including “Dabbang 1 & 2”, “Ishkq in Paris”, “Boss”, “Jai Ho”, “Fugly”, “O Teri”, ” Kick” and “Ram Leela”.
