On May 15, 2022, Musa Yamak suffered a cardiac arrest while participating in a boxing match with Ugandan boxer Hamza Wandera. In the second round of the boxing match, Moussa Yamak received a heavy blow from Hamza, which is believed to be one of the main causes of Moussa’s heart failure. Moussa collapsed in the third round while he was still in the ring. Munich police said in an interview,
