It’s unclear when he died because his body was reportedly “decomposing” when police found it just days before Thanksgiving.
Bryar’s cause of death is still unknown.
The investigation is continuing, but police have confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
They said his home was found in normal condition with his musical equipment and weapons intact.
He was last seen in public on November 4, according to TMZ.
A day later, he posted a message on X in which he mentioned the US election and his late friend and Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington.
Following Chester’s death in 2017, Linkin Park broke up before reuniting earlier this year when Emily Armstrong took over as lead singer.
The tweet read: “Emily Armstrong destroys, destroys faces and makes Chester proud.
“She was the perfect choice and had to deal with the initial hate. It’s s**t hard. Trust me. Say more.”
Animal control visited the home after his death to take away his two dogs.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance after the release of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004, replacing drummer Matt Pelissier.
He toured with the band for years and was part of the best-selling album The Black Parade.
He parted ways with the group in 2010 in what was described as a “painful decision”.
No official reason was ever given for the shocking departure.
He reappeared on the record’s 2013 album, Conventional Weapons before leaving the music industry altogether a year later.
The group reformed in 2019, but Bryar was not apart of the reunion.
Bryar is still considered the last official drummer and the longest-serving drummer for My Chemical Romance.
Since he left, he spends his time working in real estate and helping out at animal rescue centers.
In 2022, he sold his original outfit for the Black Parade tour and used the money to fund animal rescue centers in Florida and South Carolina.
He was also a big part of the Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center in Tennessee.

Thousands of Bryar’s fans paid tribute online.
One said: “The father of a generation has fallen silent.”
“Bob Bryar, ex-MCR drummer, dies aged 44 – gone too soon but his beat will reverberate forever. Legends never truly die.”
Another wrote: “Rest in peace Bob Bryar. Thank you for being a great drummer.
“Thank you for being part of the team that made history in the hearts of many people around the world.”
A third left a touching message, which read: “Absolutely devastated and heartbroken to hear of Bob Bryar’s death.
“I grew up listening to My Chemical Romance, especially Black Parade.”
Bryar was born in Chicago, Illinois, and first picked up drumsticks in his teenage years.
He regularly performed in school bands, including marching bands and jazz bands.
He got his first taste of the music industry in 2000 when he worked as a sound engineer for several bands on the road.
While touring with bands such as Used and Thrice, he became close with the members of My Chemical Romance before officially joining them as their drummer in 2004.
