Aubrey O’Day says ‘the picture is getting a lot clearer’ with Diddy after 2016 Cassie Assault video emerges
Before the brutal video surfaced of Combs’ attack on Ventura, he filed a 35-page civil lawsuit against him in November, alleging he raped her and sold her for sex during a 10-year “cycle of abuse” and “violence.”
“After years of silence and darkness, I’m finally ready to tell my story and speak up for myself and for other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” Ventura said in a statement at the time. “With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act quickly approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity for me to speak out about the trauma I experienced and will continue to recover from for the rest of my life.”
Ventura’s lawsuit against Combs was settled the day after she filed it. The two then announced that they had settled the lawsuits to “mutual satisfaction.”
Since then, Combs has faced several other sexual assault lawsuits and allegations of violence, the latest coming from Love album producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who claimed the entertainer sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him while working on the 2023 project.
Diddy has denied all sexual assault allegations made in the lawsuits, but on Sunday apologized for the violent video released on Friday.
“It’s so hard to think about the darkest moments in your life,” Combs said in the recording. “Sometimes you have to do it. I was screwed. I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I’m not apologizing. My behavior in that video is inexcusable.”
He continued: “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”
