Naga Munchetty issues warning to fans following exciting career update away from BBC Breakfast

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty has warned her fans about a fake account impersonating her on Instagram.

On her Instagram page, the female journalist shared a screenshot of an account with a username similar to Naga and took the presenter’s photo as her profile picture.

Naga captioned the post: “This account is not mine. It is impersonating me. My account is @tvnaga.”

Fans were quick to react to Naga’s warning, with some recognizing the fake profile. One wrote: “Yes, I received the request but I know it’s fake”, while another added: “Yes, Naga, I received the request to follow him but I know it right away. must be you.”

Naga’s announcement comes just a day after she announced that her documentary series, Complaints and Shame, will return for another season.

Sharing a clip from the new season, the 48-year-old wrote on Instagram: “New series warning! We’re back @bbcone @10am X today.”

The series, which has run for 15 seasons, exposes the growing problem of insurance fraud and follows a team of investigators as they hunt down suspected fraudsters.
