Namit Shah is an Indian actor. As a child actor, he appeared in many Bollywood films and Indian TV series. He is known for his role as Kabir Jaiswal in the Disney Channel (India) television series Life of Karan and Kabir.

Namit Shah was born in Mumbai on Sunday, October 21, 2001 (age 21; as of 2022). He grew up in Mumbai. Namit studied at St. Joseph’s High School, Malad, Mumbai. He studied at Mithibai College, Mumbai. According to Namit Shah, he and his parents were attending a game for children in a mall that day when they were recognized by a group of directors. Realizing that Namit had potential as a television actor, the directors contacted Namit’s parents, who then decided to give it a try. In 2009, Namit Shah got his first opportunity to be a part of an HSBC commercial, which was supposed to launch in the UK; however, the ad did not air in India. After this, Namit Shah once again got a chance to share the stage with Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Namit Shah has appeared in many advertisements.

Namit Shah first appeared in a film called “Break Ke Baad” in 2010, playing the role of (young) Abhay. In 2013, Namit Shah made his debut in the lead role in the film Main Krishna Hoon starring Juhi Chawala. He played the role of orphan Krishna, for which he was nominated for a Times Award for Best Children’s Artist. The producers of the film, Nandan K. Mahto and Promila Hunter, worked as set boys and hairdressers respectively for many famous Bollywood movie stars such as Juhi Chawala, Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan. Katina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan also star in the film. Namit Shah played the role of (young) Raghuveer in the film Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013). In 2014, Namit played the role of (young) Nikhil Bhardwaj in the film “Hasee Toh Phasee” and Vicky in the film “Raja Natwarlal”.

Karan and Kabir’s Top Life (2012 – 2013)
The Indian TV series Karan and Kabir aired on Disney Channel brought Namit Shah more fame. His name is also Kabir Jaiswal, the character he plays in the show. The show revolves around the lives of two protagonists, Karan and Kabir, twin brothers who live in the Raj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, where their mother Preeti Jaiswal is the assistant manager. Namit Shah spoke about the show in an interview and said:
I chose the character of Kabir over another character in the movie simply because I love the Disney Channel original shows. The filming only lasted a few months and took place on weekends. ”
