At GB News, Nana presents. On GB News, she used to host Tonight Live. In an interview with Sky News Australia, she asserted that GB News was “striking a chord” with the British audience. On July 19, 2021, it was revealed she would leave The Great British Breakfast to anchor a new show called Nana Akua on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Since then, every Friday afternoon has been added to the schedule for her show.
Her radio career got its start by chance. Nana initially applied for a position at Kiss 100 as a graduate trainee sponsorship assistant even though she had originally intended to work as a trader like her father after hearing a previous partner advise television and radio.
In order to launch Capital Interactive, Nana later relocated to Capital Radio. When she turned off her computer one day and caught a glimpse of herself on the screen, she decided to pursue her ambition of becoming a presenter. She resigned from Capital and was successful in securing a trainee DJ position at The Capital Radio Café. Nana eventually received her own Drivetime Show on Fusion 107.3.
Her first TV gig was with Bid and Price Drop, where she hosted live auctions for four hours a day, five days a week. The experience was priceless, and she paired that position with her work as a live gameshow presenter for Sky Vegas, clocking up more than 10,000 hours in total. She then began presenting the Money Show pilot for BBC Three and the Holiday Show at prime time on BBC One.
In the past, Nana presented local, regional, and national radio for the BBC. She also participated on a panel for the Channel 5 programme “Jeremy Vine” and appeared frequently on “Good Morning Britain” on ITV. Her great passion outside of work is fitness. Nana established LadyXsize, a brand and fitness expert that has assisted in keeping her on track.
