Naseem Shah is a Pakistani cricketer who is a right-arm medium-fast bowler for the Pakistan national cricket team. In 2020, Naseem became the youngest bowler to take a hat-trick in a Test match; he achieved the feat in Pakistan’s Rawalpindi match against Bangladesh.

Naseem Abbas Shah was born on Saturday, February 15, 2003 (19 years old; as of 2022) in Mayar Jandool, Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. Naseem has been fond of sports since his childhood and he always wanted to represent his country (Pakistan) in cricket. He started playing cricket in his village at a very young age. Naseem’s father’s name was Haji Muzaffar Shah. His mother died of a heart attack in 2019. He has two sisters and four brothers. His younger brother Hunain Shah is also a cricketer and plays for Pakistan at the under-19 level. One of his brothers was Salim Shah.

Nasim Shah made his domestic cricket debut for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy against Lahore B on 1 September 2018.
In the same year, on October 16, Naseem made his ODI debut for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited against Pakistan Television in the Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup 2018-19. In September 2019, Naseem represented Central Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. In October 2019, he represented Central Punjab in the National T20 Cup, making his T20 debut. In 2022, he was selected by Gloucestershire County Cricket Club to participate in the domestic championship in England for the 2022 season.
However, he suffered a shoulder injury in the first game of the tournament and withdrew from the tournament. Subsequently, he was signed by the Welsh Flames to participate in the 2022 England Hundred.

Naseem Shah made his international debut in a Pakistan Test match against Australia on 21 November 2019 in Brisbane, Australia. In the match, he dismissed David Warner for his first Test wicket. Before making his debut, he played a three-day warm-up match for Pakistan against Australia A. He was subsequently named in Pakistan’s Test squad for the two-match series against Sri Lanka.
In the second match of the series, he became the youngest fast bowler to score his first five-wicket haul in Test cricket. Naseem was subsequently named in Pakistan’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. However, due to his outstanding performances in Test cricket, his name was removed from the list. In May 2020, Naseem was awarded a central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board. In the same year, he played for Pakistan against England. Naseem was also part of the Pakistan Test squad that toured New Zealand and Sri Lanka. On August 16, 2022, Naseem made his debut for Pakistan in a one-day international match. The game was played against the Netherlands in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He made his T20 International debut on 28 August 2022 against India in Dubai.
During the Asia Cup 2022, Naseem Shah hit two consecutive sixes in the final against Afghanistan to help Pakistan reach the final.

Violation of code of conduct
Naseem was fined by the Pakistan Super League on 10 March 2024 for violating the Pakistan Super League’s code of conduct during a match against Multan Sultans at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. He kicked the stumps after Multan Sultans’ last ball, for which he was charged 10% match fee.

The video went viral on the internet and during a media interaction, when Naseem was asked about it, he gave a hilarious reply saying that he had no idea who Urvashi Rautela was. He said,
Smile toh aapke Question pe aa rha hei (I smile at your question.) I don’t know who Urvashi Rautela is. I just focus on my game. People usually send me videos, but I don’t know. I’m nothing special but I appreciate the people who come to watch cricket and give it a lot of respect. “
- During the 2022 Asia Cup, Naseem hit two sixes in the first two balls of the final to help his country win the match against Afghanistan. In the post-match media talk, when former India head coach Ravi Shastri praised his bowling, Naseem said:
