Naveen Shankar is an Indian actor and television host who mainly appears in Kannada films. He is known for his roles in Kannada films Hondisi Bareyiri (2023) and Gurudev Hoysala (2023).

He grew up listening to legendary stories and watching Kannada cinema on DD channel, which got him interested in acting. Talking about this in an interview, Shankar said:
I was impressed by how my teachers introduced me to a variety of subjects that piqued my interest in storytelling. I was inspired by reading recommended books, watching inspiring movies, and conversations with individual actors. “
After completing his studies, he enrolled in an engineering course. However, when he was a freshman in college, he dropped his classes to pursue theater. While in college, Naveen started a Kannada theater group.
