He studied at Apeejay School in Delhi and went to Delhi University Vocational College to pursue a bachelor’s degree in tourism. After graduation, Manish started organizing cultural events in schools and colleges. He then moved to Mumbai and started his career as a radio jockey.

I have always been a fitness enthusiast, although not a fitness freak, but I have always strived for a healthy body. However, La Fuchaca took me through a rollercoaster of physical transformation. When I play the con man, I have five different looks and avatars. To get the look of Pawan Kumar Bawariya, I gave up my healthy body and had to have a big belly like an ordinary middle-class and middle-aged man, for which I gained 10 kgs. Looking at it another way, I had to lose weight and gain muscle to play a fitness trainer. Since I had just finished Jugjugg Jeeyo, I barely had four months to make these huge changes. “

He married his school girlfriend Sanyukta after dating for 13 years. Sanyukta is a teacher by profession. The couple has a daughter Saisha Paul and a son Yuvann.

Manish started his television career in 2002 hosting the Star Plus show “Sunday Tango”. Next, he worked as a VJ at Zee Music. He then joined Radio City as a radio jockey and hosted the morning drive show “Kasa Kai Mumbai”.

In 2006, Manish appeared in the TV series “Phantom Barnadost”, playing the role of a ghost. Later, he appeared in many TV serials like “Chhoona Hai Aasmaan”, “Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi”, “Zindadil”, “Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai”, “Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein” and “Kahani Shuru with Love” Guru”. However, he decided to quit the daily soap in 2008 and was absent from television for eight months.

In 2009, Paul got a break from the show “Ghar Ghar Mein” on Zee TV. His work was loved by the audience and paved the way for him to host shows like ‘Saa Ree Gaa Maa Paa’, ‘Dance India Dance’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
In 2013, Manish made his film debut playing the role of a computer geek in Mickey Virus. He has also starred in Bollywood films Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive and Baa Baaa Black Sheep.
Later, he also hosted shows such as “Indian Idol 10” and “Stupid Science”.

- Manish pissed off Shahid Kapoor after Shahid Kapoor tweeted a wedding photo of Shahid and his wife Meera. Later, Shahid ensured that Paul missed at least one day from the shoot of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
- Paul once again pissed off actor Shahid Kapoor when he told an inappropriate joke about his personal life on the sets of Jhalak Dihra Jha Season 8. Shahid, who keeps his private life away from the media, expressed his annoyance at his remarks.
- Manish created controversy when he replaced Drashti Dhami in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 7. When asked about it, Manish said, “Our friendship has not been affected at all. I had a conversation with Drashti before taking up the show. She is a very dear friend of mine. When I told her that I would be replacing She accepted it graciously and had no problem with it. I don’t know why Drashti was replaced.”
- In 2016, Paul sparked controversy when he was roped in to do a film on homosexuality with Anupam Kher’s son Sikander Kher. When asked if he felt comfortable shooting the film, Manish lip-locked with Sikander in front of the camera.
