Career
- Aguerd started his career at Mohammed VI Football Academy before joining FUS Rabat in 2014. After a season with the club’s amateur players, the footballer signed a professional contract. First with FUS Rabat in Botola in 2014. In his first season with FUS Rabat, he finished second in the Trophy of the throne 2015, losing in the final to Olympique Club de Khouribg.
- He scored his first goal for the team in a 3–1 win over Wydad AC on 15 February 2015.
- In a 1–1 draw against UMS de Loum on 3 March, he scored his first goal on the continent.
- He joined Dijon in Ligue 1 after four seasons. On 25 August 2018, he made his professional debut for Dijon in a 4–0 win over Nice, scoring his team’s first goal.
- On 14 August 2020, Aguerd signed for Ligue 1 club Rennes from Dijon for an undisclosed fee reported to be between €4 and €5 million. In a friendly match against Nice, he scored his first goal for the club, although the match ended in a 3–2 defeat. Aguerd scored his first league goal in a 4–2 win over Nîmes on 13 September 2020.
- Aguerd signed a five-year contract with West Ham United in June 2022 for a fee of £30 million. West Ham spent the fourth highest amount on him, behind Sébastien Haller, Felipe Anderson and Kurt Zouma.
- Aguerd made his debut for the Hammers in a friendly against Reading on 16 July, playing 63 minutes in a 1–1 draw at Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Aguerd represented Morocco at the 2018 African Nations Championship helping his country win its first CHAN championship. Aguerd scored his first goal against Sudan in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on 6 September 2021, with a sharp finish from a cross.
- Vahid Halilhodi then encouraged him to represent Morocco at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Nayef started all of their group stage matches. In a 2-2 draw with Gabon, he scored an own goal.
- He was nominated to Morocco’s 23-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on 10 November 2022.
