Neha Singh Rathore started her career as a singer in 2020 by uploading a song titled “Dharohar” on her YouTube channel. She uploaded her first song “Karkhana Band Hoi Gaile Hamar Piya” on her YouTube channel on May 13, 2020. During the pandemic, she wrote several songs that referenced the lockdown. Some of her songs related to the coronavirus pandemic include “Corona Mahamari Ho Gaiyl” and “Corona Ke Daibe Chuni Chuni Gari”. She shot to fame after her song “Bihar Mein Ka Ba” uploaded ahead of the 2020 Bihar elections went viral on the internet. She sang the song in response to Manoj Bajpayee’s rap song “Bambai Main Ka Ba”. She later uploaded the second part of the song “Bihar Mein Ka Ba-part 2”, in which she talks about the education system and floods in Bihar. She has also composed songs like “Gujarat Mein Ka Ba”, in which she spoke about the Morbi Bridge incident, and “UP Mein Ka Ba” (Part 1 and 2), in which she questioned the UP government. In January 2021, she made her stage debut at the Republic Day Poets Conference at Maithili-Bhojpuri College, Delhi.

After Neha Singh Rathore’s song “My Admission in Lake University” came out in November 2020, it was heavily criticized on social media. In the song, Neha made accusations against Allahabad Central University (IVV) and called it the “Oxford of the East”. She also questioned the university’s student government in the song. In 2023, Neha Singh Rathore received a legal notice from the UP government for her song “UP Mein Ka Ba Season 2” which was released on February 16, 2023. In the song, she talks about the Dixit family, whose house was burned alive by bulldozers during a government-ordered demolition drive that burned a 45-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter to death. She also questioned the Uttar Pradesh government in the song. Kanpur police claimed that Neha Singh Rathore was trying to create disharmony and tension in society through her songs. They sent her a notice with seven questions that she had to answer within three days.

Sparked controversy over her social media posts about the urination incident

Suraj Khare filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her on July 7, 2023, at Habibganj police station in Bhopal.
