Neha Singh Rathore started her career as a singer in 2020 by uploading a song titled “Dharohar” on her YouTube channel. She uploaded her first song “Karkhana Band Hoi Gaile Hamar Piya” on her YouTube channel on May 13, 2020. During the pandemic, she wrote several songs that referenced the lockdown. Some of her songs related to the coronavirus pandemic include “Corona Mahamari Ho Gaiyl” and “Corona Ke Daibe Chuni Chuni Gari”. She shot to fame after her song “Bihar Mein Ka Ba” uploaded ahead of the 2020 Bihar elections went viral on the internet. She sang the song in response to Manoj Bajpayee’s rap song “Bambai Main Ka Ba”. In the song, she talks about the Dixit family, whose house was burned alive by bulldozers during a government-ordered demolition drive that burned a 45-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter to death. She also questioned the Uttar Pradesh government in the song. Kanpur police claimed that Neha Singh Rathore was trying to create disharmony and tension in society through her songs. Sparked controversy over her social media posts about the urination incident
Suraj Khare filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her on July 7, 2023, at Habibganj police station in Bhopal.
