NEHU VC reports satisfaction among faculty principals with NEP 2020 implementation

Implementation of NEP 2020

NEP 2020: Prabha Shankar Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), said that the 75 colleges affiliated to the university are satisfied with the way the National Education Policy 2020 is being implemented.

His remarks followed an ongoing “non-cooperation” agitation by the state’s college teachers’ umbrella body, the Meghalaya College Teachers Association (MCTA), which has demanded the policy be scrapped.

“A meeting with principals of all affiliated colleges was held on July 21, 2023. Most of the college principals said they were happy with the move (to implement NEP 2020),” the NEHU vice-chancellor said in a statement. He said that none of the faculty directors associated with the university have written to complain about the problem they are having in the implementation of the NEP 2020 in the part of four-year undergraduate studies.
