It has only been two years since Amazon revived soap after Channel 5 succeeded after 37 years.
At the end of 2022, Amazon announced that he was returning an iconic program in a multi -year agreement.
The last episode of soap came to the return of Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce in an emotional goodbye.
But months later, Amazon offered the Lifeline show and revived it with a renewed production.
He started shooting in 2023 and was shown on Amazon Freevee Worldwide.
However, last year, Amazon made a service and transformed into his main offer for streaming video.
And now, after two years of current, the show will be approached once more.
The sun can exclusively discover that Amazon told Fremantle that their venture in the soap failed and to withdraw the funds.
The source said: “Amazon gave Fremantle two years to see if it was doing it, but unfortunately they just didn’t get the viewers.
“It’s a really sad day, especially for the acting role and crew working on a show in Melbourne.
“This is really the end of the neighbor, just as it is celebrated, 40th birthday.”
Neighbing star barely got old day because he appears this morning 23 years after leaving Aussie’s soap soap
It is unknown if Cast and the crew said about development.
Last year, the revival was nominated for its first two Emmy awards for the best day drama series and the best guest for Guy Pearce.
Neighbors were first shown on the BBC1 in 1986, one year after the Australian debut.
Almost 20 million viewers in the UK was adjusted two years later to see Scott, played by Jason Donovan, and Charlene, played by Kylie, Get Wed.
Amazon was contacted for comment.
Axa neighbors alert is for all other soaps
The soap soap editor Carl Greenwood reveals why soap fans should be very nervous about neighbor Amazon.
The neighbor’s revival sent shock waves through the 2022 TV industry, when Amazon entered the salvation of his beloved soap.
After 37 years, she became a victim of increasingly expensive and enemy TV industry when Channel 5 pulled the plug.
The budgets pulled out outside the control and there was a hole of £ 5 million in production costs that the British channel could not justify consumption.
Amazon seems to have learned the same lesson with more billions of dollars.
Spiral costs make it difficult for shows – especially soaps that produce a huge number of episodes – to move on.
If even Amazon with his money money is fighting – what hope exists for the rest of the industry?
Soap fans should be incredibly concerned about the crisis that covers their favorite shows.
Hollyoaks has already reduced its episodes by 40 percent and has now broadcast only three times a week.
ITV has made a decision to reduce episodes a week in Emmerdale and Coronation Street starting next year.
The only one that seems safe is Eastenders with their significant budget for money from a license fee – but in this economy, how long will it last?
One thing is clear – the industry must be attracted to this crisis, because there is no longer a big money that will save the day.
