Nelly celebrated his girlfriend’s 43rd birthday with a sweet tribute post he shared on Instagram on Friday.
“Once for the birthday girl,” the 48-year-old musician captioned the video, which featured various images and clips of the couple spending time together, set to the sounds of his song “Birthday Girl” featuring Chris Lane.
“Such a beautiful, amazing person inside and out and one of the hardest working women. I know.. @ashanti,” he continued. “Enjoy your day mom you look great!!!! Happy Birthday I love you!!!!”
In the comments section, Ashanti responded to her beau, writing, “Awwwwww thanks big head!!!!!!!!🥰😘 love you!!!!”

Nelly and Ashanti’s Relationship Timeline: A Look at Their Rekindled Romance
Nelly and Ashanti first dated in 2003. They later broke up a decade later, before reuniting after another 10 years.
Reconciliation rumors first started swirling after the two musicians were seen together over the past few months.
In May, the couple appeared at the 3rd Annual Birthday Ball for Quality Control Executive Pierre “P” Thomas at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, and in June, Ashanti brought Nelly out on stage during her Las Vegas show at the Palms Casino Resort, where the duo performed “Body on Me”.
A month before, the couple was seen at the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. After the fight, the video caught them holding hands.

Last month, Nelly finally confirmed speculation that the two had reconciled during a guest appearance on The The boss moves in with Rasheed show streaming on Philo.
“I think it surprised both of us,” the “Hot in Herre” singer said at the time.
“We were both pretty much doing what we were doing,” he continued. “But sometimes when we’re apart, you understand each other better. You might say, ‘Well, let me see exactly what they see.’ We can all be defensive in our relationships at times. We know we’re wrong, but we’re going to stick with it, you know what I mean? But we’re all victims of it.”
Later that same day, Ashanti attended the 2023 MTV VMAs, where she wore a personalized clutch with a printed photo of Nelly.
“We’re in a great space,” the Grammy winner told PEOPLE on the carpet at the annual music awards. “Everything is positive. [We’re] have a lot of fun.”
