Netflix Announces Love Is Blind Season 5 Reunion Date — with a Wink and a Vow to Fans That It Won’t Be Live

The cast Love is blind season 5 returns with a special episode just two days after the finale airs on Netflix.

The teaser teases the massively delayed Season 4 reunion, showing a cast member going “live” over a sign that says “Reunion Live Today.”

“It’s not live, but it can’t be missed.” reads cheeky text graphics.

Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the special will reunite this season’s couples and singles to “reflect on their relationships, break down this season’s twists and turns, and reveal secrets that have been revealed since the experiment ended.”

From Taylor and JP’s makeup miscommunication in Mexico to the Uche/Lydia/Milton bombshell, there will be plenty of highs and lows to discuss when the special streams on Sunday on Netflix.

5th season Love is blind — which recruited singles in their 20s and 30s from Houston — debuted on Sept. 22. Episodes have been released every Friday until this week’s 10th and final episode, in which the remaining couples will go down the aisle to decide whether to say “I do” or end their relationships.

Following the Season 4 live reunion episode earlier this year, Love is blind said creator Chris Coelen The Hollywood Reporter that the show won’t try to do a live reunion any time soon.

“It was Netflix’s idea to do the reunion live,” he told the outlet. “They came to us and we all had some doubts about it.”

The producer also said that he experienced the inaugural event as most fans do: sitting in his living room watching the chaos unfold.

“Normally I would be in the control room in that situation. I would listen to the host. And I didn’t – he said. “I was freaking out. I was sitting in front of the TV and I was like, ‘What’s going on? Give me the news. What’s going on?'”

Despite the stress, Coelen doesn’t think the season four reunion was all bad.

“It was a chaotic night, but I’m optimistic,” he said. “Ultimately, the great thing that came out of that evening was that it showed how much significant interest there is Love is blind. I really appreciated that.”
