The influencer, who appeared on Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle, claimed the bags were given to her by a friend named “Tex.”
Bednarska said that Tex paid for her flights and wanted to bring back designer clothes and watches from Phuket.
She was arrested and later pleaded guilty to being concerned in fraudulently evading a ban on the importation of the Class B drug.
Bednarska, who has been in custody since her arrest in October, cried because she was spared a prison sentence and given a suspended sentence instead.
Judge John Potter said the former reality star had run up £16,000 in debt as she tried to find her lavish lifestyle.
The court heard that Bednarska was “living beyond her means” and resorted to crime to clear the debt.
She agreed to fly to Thailand on an all-expenses-paid trip to export designer items out of the country in exchange for £18,000.
On October 10, she met with her friend Tex’s “associate” before checking into her free hotel room.
Bednarska then received a “expense card”, which she used to buy two suitcases for smuggled goods.
She was asked to provide items to “cover up” the obvious clothes and watches and was to have nothing more to do with it.
But when she flew home on October 20, Bednarska was stopped by Border Force officers who confirmed that she had packed her bags herself.
She was asked to unlock the suitcases but was unable to do so as she did not have the code.
Bednarska then told the officials that she got the bags at the airport.
Hidden under her clothes were numerous vacuum bags of cannabis.
The total weight was 39.4kg, which was reportedly worth around £157,600.
Judge Potter said: “You chose to place your trust in someone you barely knew.
“You acted under the direction of others, potentially for further profit.
“I’m sure you can imagine the damage that wholesale drugs have on our communities when they are sold for profit.
“You directly contributed to this by agreeing to do what you did.”
Bednarska was sentenced to 20 months in prison suspended for two years.
She was also ordered to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activities.
Bednarska, who is originally from Poland but lives in Manchester, appeared in series 3 of Too Hot to Handle.
