Rajeev Khanna had to surrender his passport and was not allowed to leave India without court permission. He also refrained from contacting any witnesses or tampering with any evidence related to the case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially claimed that Rajeev Khanna and Indrani Mukerjea and her then husband Peter Mukerjea conspired to kill Sheena Bora in 2012. Indrani was formally arrested in 2015 and Peter was arrested later and then granted bail by the High Court Court 2020. Currently, Khanna’s whereabouts and activities have not been made public.
