Nev Schulman Says ‘Appreciate What You Have' in Emotional Video: 'You Can Lose It in a Second’

Nev Schulman shared the emotional news as Catfish the star continues to recover from a broken neck.

The Dancing with the stars The alum, 39, posed for an Instagram video on Aug. 20 while walking down a city street, saying it was “recommended by my physical therapist just to get my body moving.”

“It’s been two weeks since I broke my neck and had emergency spine surgery. And I thought of coming here [and] I’m just giving you all a brief update,” he said.

“As you can see, I’m awake. Finishing up with a little walk around the neighborhood,” he said, “which my physical therapist recommended to me to get my body moving.”

“I’ve never been so tired from a ten-minute walk, but now I’m almost home,” he said. “I mostly just wanted to come here to say thank you.”

Schulman — who broke his neck in a bike accident while picking up his son from school — previously revealed in an Instagram post on Aug. 10 that his injuries were “stable fractures. I’m not paralyzed.”

“I have never been able to pick my son up from school on a bicycle,” he wrote. “Actually, in a way, I’m glad I didn’t. I was alone at the impact. Me and the truck. And then I guess the sidewalk. I was alone and unconscious.”

“My hands were a question mark for a moment, but the human body is amazing, and so are PEOPLE.”

Thank you to my family and friends for the incredible support I have received and felt deeply over the past two weeks. And thank you guys so much. The support and love I’ve been getting online has been really, really amazing. It meant so much to me.”
