Nev Schulman shared the emotional news as Catfish the star continues to recover from a broken neck.
The Dancing with the stars The alum, 39, posed for an Instagram video on Aug. 20 while walking down a city street, saying it was “recommended by my physical therapist just to get my body moving.”
“It’s been two weeks since I broke my neck and had emergency spine surgery. And I thought of coming here [and] I’m just giving you all a brief update,” he said.
“As you can see, I’m awake. Finishing up with a little walk around the neighborhood,” he said, “which my physical therapist recommended to me to get my body moving.”
“I’ve never been so tired from a ten-minute walk, but now I’m almost home,” he said. “I mostly just wanted to come here to say thank you.”
Schulman — who broke his neck in a bike accident while picking up his son from school — previously revealed in an Instagram post on Aug. 10 that his injuries were “stable fractures. I’m not paralyzed.”
