NEXT exam will probably be held in May 2024; Check the details

NEXT exam date 2024

NExT 2024: There is currently a nationwide protest against the upcoming National Graduate Examination (NExT). The NExT exam, which was supposed to be held twice a year in May and November, is subject to change. Dr Shubham Anand, national president of the Global Association of Indian Medical Students, suggested the possibility of moving the exam to May next year instead of the originally scheduled date of this year.

“#NEXT will most likely be postponed to February and it is likely to go live in May. NMC has asked universities to submit current course completion status and in most schools college, it will be over after February. I hope NMC will clear the situation soon,” he tweeted.

“In the current curriculum, students have to take the final MBBS exam in four subjects, but in NEXT, a program that students are completely unaware of, they will have to take 19 subjects. Can humans pass? passed all these subjects?” asked the All India Student Union (AISU).

Medical experts are calling for revision of the internship program and protesting the next exam

Dr Datta, a junior resident at AIIMS Delhi and a former member of FAIMA, expressed her views on Twitter, addressing the National Health Commission (NMC). Instead of implementing #NEXTEXAM, Dr. Datta suggested that NMC should prioritize modifying the internship program to ensure the development of better doctors and improve healthcare in the country. Dr. Datta also emphasized the need to reduce the workload of interns by hiring phlebotomists and operators for non-clinical tasks, thus streamlining the workload.

On the same topic, Dr. Rohan Krishnan, National President of FAIMA, took to Twitter and called on all universities to oppose the NeXt exam. According to him, granting degrees to students is the responsibility of the universities themselves and if AIIMS Delhi conducts the exams, the universities have no moral authority to award degrees without conducting their own exams. Surname. Dr. Krishnan also expressed concern about the possibility of a decrease in the pass rate of the NeXt exams if the current situation continues.
