NFL star Xavier Legette reveals one of his family’s unusual Thanksgiving dishes.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver, 23, joined New Orleans Saints wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and his brother, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, in the December 11 episode. Podcast of the brothers St. Brown. During the group chat, Equanimeous, 28, asked Legette what his “hottest food” was or “something weird he likes to eat.”
“I’m eating raccoon,” Legette replied.
“You what? What do you mean, raccoon?” Equanimee asked to confirm what he had just heard.

“Like the raccoon you see in the trash can,” Legette explained.
A confused Equanimeous needed more clarification, and Legette explained that he was hunting raccoons. “I hunt it, kill it, skin it, cook it, eat it. All that,” he said.
Amon-Ra, 25, asked when the last time Legette enjoyed a raccoon was Thanksgiving.
“All my people are into hunting and all that,” Legette explained. “My cousin is the one who killed him, he came and said, ‘Come on, we have a raccoon.’ ”
“That sounds crazy,” Amon-Ra laughed. Equanimee then asked what it tasted like.
“It has its own touch,” Legette said. “You know everyone says it still tastes like chicken, but the raccoon’s got its flavor after all.”

“Interesting, never heard of that,” said Equanimeous. “It’s the first time… What else are you eating that’s weird?”
Without hesitation, Legette revealed that he eats both squirrels and rabbits.
“You eat extraordinary s— in the forest and s—,” Amon-Ra joked. “Just like squirrels and rabbits.”
“Just that little s— running around in the woods,” Equanimeous added.
“The skunk will say next,” Amon-Ra continued.
Although the brothers of St. Brown joked about Legette’s eating habits, he still invited them to enjoy a meal with him.
“You’re all going to come to my town and try all these things,” he said. “I’m telling you all you’re going to love it.”
