Nicki Minaj Gives $50K Holiday Donation to Toys for Tots: ‘God Bless All the Children in the World’

This holiday season, Nicki Minaj is thinking of children in need.

During an appearance on Thursday’s episode Watch what’s happening livethe rap superstar donated a number of toys as well as $50,000 to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, which distributes gifts to children across the country.

“Thank you for letting me do this on your show. It was something that meant a lot to me,” Minaj, 41, told host Andy Cohen as she presented the foundation with a large pink check, reports a a clip from the episode shared by fans on social media.

“I would like to donate $50,000 to Toys for Tots because I love this organization. I love what it stands for. It means the world to me and God bless all the children in the world,” the “Super Freaky Girl” performer continued.

While Minaj appeared on WWHL as a featured guest, three Toys for Tots representatives stood behind the show’s signature bar during the episode and expressed their gratitude for the donation.

“I’m incredibly speechless, especially for a program like this with Toys for Tots. It means the absolute world to be able to give back to the New York City community and just for kids across the country,” said Toys for Tots of NYC Coordinator Raul Pillco. “So with someone of superstar status like you, it means the absolute world.”

Nicki Minaj Announces Big ‘Pink Friday 2’ Arena Tour 2024: ‘It’s Time for the Gag City Tour’

After the release of Minaj’s last album Pink Friday 2 earlier this month, the musician announced the Pink Friday 2 world tour, which is scheduled for next year. The live show series kicks off on March 1st in Oakland, California with stops in cities like Las Vegas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and more. After 28 shows in North America, including a final show on May 12 in Austin, Texas, the hip-hop superstar will take an overseas tour to the United Kingdom and Europe through the end of spring.

Elsewhere during it WWHL appearance, Minaj talked about what fans can expect from the upcoming tour. “My focus on this tour is definitely going to be the new album — creating the world of that album and then sprinkling everything else around it,” she teased. “But of course, we’ll still have just as much fun with our comebacks, you know, as we always do.”

She added, “I always make sure and do my rap stuff, my pop stuff — everybody enjoys it. I make sure all my fans feel like they’re well fed at the show.”
