Nicky Campbell is a Scottish radio and television presenter and journalist who hosted BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast from 2003, The Big Questions on BBC One from 2007 to 2021 and Long Lost Family on ITV from 2011. From 1988 to In 1996, he hosted the game show “Wheel of Fortune”, and from 2001 to 2009, he hosted “Watchdog”. In 2004, he published a book called ‘Blue Eyed Son’ about his own adoption experience.

Nicky Campbell was born on April 10, 1961 in Edinburgh, Scotland. His nationality is Scottish, and he is of mixed nationality. He was adopted as a baby. His adoptive mother worked as a psychiatric social worker, and his adoptive father worked as a ticket printer. He went to the exclusive Edinburgh Academy school. Nicky revealed in July 2022 that he watched and suffered sexual and brutal physical assault there, which had a “significant impact on [his] life.” He obtained a 2:1 degree in history from the University of Aberdeen.
Nicky Campbell decided to find his Irish biological father in 2002. His biological mother was a Protestant from Dublin, but his real father was a Northern Irish Catholic thirteen years his junior.
