Nicolas Cage is struggling with a whole new side of fame A dream scenario.
A24 released a trailer for the company’s upcoming surreal comedy on Tuesday, introducing Cage’s lead character Paul Matthews, a university professor and “hapless family man” whose “life is turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams.”
“But when his nightly appearances take a terrifying turn, Paul is forced to manage his newfound fame,” the official synopsis adds.
Set to a fitting background track to The Cranberries’ classic “Dreams,” the trailer opens with Paul learning that he’s appearing in the dreams of an acquaintance seemingly at random.

At the film’s world premiere, Cage told PEOPLE what recurring figure he looks forward to seeing in his dreams: his late father, Augusto Coppola.
“I always love it when my dad shows up,” he said at the Sept. 9 event. “I haven’t seen him in person since he passed away.”
“So when he shows up, it’s always a good thing,” Cage added.
A dream scenario is in select theaters on November 10th, before a wide release on November 22nd.
