Nidhi Razdan was born in New Delhi on Thursday, April 11, 1974 (age 49; as of 2023). Her hometown is Budgam, Central Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir. She studied at Apeejay School in Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi. She pursued her bachelor’s degree from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. - Razdan revealed in an interview that she wanted to be a doctor since she was a child; however, her father suggested that she should pursue other careers because becoming a doctor would take a long time. She further said that at the age of 18 she realized she wanted to be a journalist.
- Nidhi Razdan has reported on the ground in many dangerous places, including Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. In an interview, she recalled an incident while reporting in Kashmir, where she said she interviewed people who had crossed the Line of Control but was later blacklisted and Pakistan banned her visa for five years. She has also made documentaries following the train bombings in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Tibet and the UK.
