Comedian Nikki Glaser is taking a break from potential plastic surgery to boost her career as she prepares to host the 82nd Golden Globe Awards in January 2025. During a broadcast with CBS Morning on Sunday, Dec. 29, Glaser revealed that before she found out she’d be hosting the awards show, she was trying to schedule cosmetic surgery around the same time the Golden Globes were scheduled to take place. “So, for January 2025, probably I was going to have, like, a brow lift or some kind of really invasive surgery that, you know, I was planning on doing,” Glaser said during But after receiving a call from two of her agents, Glaser said she quickly changed her mind about scheduling the procedure for that particular date in early January.

“When it’s two,” Glaser said, referring to her agents, “you know it’s good news because when it’s bad news, they only get one person to do it ’cause nobody wants to do it. And they say, ‘So . this surgery, is there any way to postpone it ’til maybe the second week of January?'”Back in August, CBS and the Golden Globes announced that the comedian would host the 82nd ceremony on Sunday, January 5, 2025. O of the honor, Glaser said in a statement: “I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes. It’s one of my favorite nights of television and now I get a front row seat (actually, I think I have to lead from the stage).”

Continuing on, Glaser joked about the occasion, “The Golden Globes are not just a big night for TV and film, but also for comedy. This is one of the rare cases when show business not only allows, but encourages it to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). Glaser also recently participated in a “roast” of Tom Brady, former New England Patriots quarterback, during a Netflix live special, Best Roast of All Time: Tom Brady in May — alongside host Kevin Hart, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Nikki Glaser, Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss and Kim Kardashian. As for the roast, Glaser recently told PEOPLE, “I have a feeling Gisele wasn’t too happy with what I said, referring to Brady’s ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

Among other quips on the May 5 special: “Tom Brady, five-time Super Bowl MVP, career wins, career touchdowns, seven rings — well, eight now that Gisele got hers back,” she said, referring to their 2022 Split.
Glaser now says she debated mentioning Bündchen at all. “I mentioned her jokingly, which I questioned because she wasn’t there, and it’s like, ‘She’s not asking for this.’ But then I remembered she’s the hottest person alive and I said, ‘She can probably handle it,'” The island of FBoy said the host.
The 2025 Golden Globe Awards will air live on Sunday, January 5th from 8-11pm on the CBS Television Network and with coverage on Paramount+.
