Nina Dobrev made sure her boyfriend Shaun White felt the love as he entered the new year!
On Monday, vampire Diaries The alum, 34, shared a video montage of the celebration for White’s 37th birthday, which was Sept. 3.
The fun clip — which was set to Robin Schulz’s “Sugar” — featured board games, dancing and a boating adventure. The five-time Olympian also used a sword to cut the cake, designed to look like a Panda Express takeout box.
“happy (belated) birthday sugar 🍭 how did you fly like that???” she captioned the video on Instagram, referencing the lyrics to “Sugar.” “It’s here to stay playful and young no matter how old we are…. 🫶🏼😘”

Dobreva Outside the law Costar Adam DeVine responded in the comments section, saying, “This looks like my dream BDAY!” while Wells Adams said, “I would really thrive in this environment.”
Dobrev also posted several photos from the birthday celebration on her Instagram Story. In one photo, the former professional snowboarder dunked Dobrev, who was wearing a rainbow-striped one-piece swimsuit.
“HBD you Big Dipper @shaunwhite,” she captioned the playful snap.
She also shared pictures from their sailing adventure, including one of her and White posing with friends and her pup Maverick.

In April, White opened up to PEOPLE about whether he and Dobrev were getting engaged after three years together.
“Right now we’re just enjoying our time together. No pressure,” he said. “But I told her, I was like, ‘Look, after the Olympics, I finally got my freedom to do whatever. And let’s just have fun and be together and support each other.'”
“But you never know. We’ll see what happens,” he added.

Nina Dobrev and Shaun White enjoy some fun in the sun during a family vacation together in Mexico
The couple, who went public with their relationship in April 2020, have grown close over the years to the point that even their families spend holidays together.
In December, the couple shared an Instagram post showing a boat trip they took to Mexico with Dobrev’s parents, Michael and Kamen Dobrev, and White’s parents, Roger and Cathy White, and his siblings Kari White Bodman and Jesse White with their spouses and children.
“Mexico 🇲🇽❤️🐋,” the retired athlete captioned his post, while the actress left three emojis in her own caption: “☀️🎅🏼✌🏼.”

White also shared a sweet tribute to Dobrev in January to celebrate her 34th birthday, writing alongside a photo of her wearing a short pink wig and cat ears, “What planet are you from and will you take me with you?!”
White continued: “Thank you for making life amazing! Happy birthday my love,” along with a handful of celebratory emojis.
