Nithya Menen is an Indian actress, dubbing singer and voice-over artist. She is known for her role as “Tara” in the Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani (2015). Nithya has won the Indian Filmfare Award (South) three times.

Nithya Menen was born on Friday, April 8, 1988 (35 years old; as of 2023) in Banashankari, Bangalore. Her star sign is Aries.
Nithya attended Manipal College of Communications, Manipal and Kalamal Hill College, Bangalore, where she studied Journalism. Nithya was actively involved in extracurricular activities during her school years. She was good at dancing and singing from a young age. At the age of 10, Menon played a role in the English film Monkey Who Knew Too Much (1998).
Nithya had always wanted to be a journalist. However, while studying journalism, Menon found the subject unappealing and decided to study filmmaking. She then went to the Indian Film and Television Institute in Pune to take a course in cinematography. When Menon took the entrance exam for the course, she met film director BV Nandini Reddy, who convinced her to pursue a career in acting.

Profession
Nithya Menen started her acting career in 2001 with the TV serial Choti Maa…Ek Anokha Bandhan. She then played a supporting role in the Kannada film Seven O’ Clock. Nithya made her Malayalam debut with the film Akasha Gopuram, her Kannada debut with the film Josh, her Telugu debut with the film Ala Modalaindi and her Tamil debut with the film Nootrenbadhu.
Menin subsequently acted in films like Ishq, Ustad Hotel, Mersal, Awe, 100 Days of Love, Iru Mugan, 24 and Praana.
In 2019, Menin made his Bollywood debut with the film Mission Mangal.
Nithya made her digital debut in 2020 with the web series Breathe: Into the Shadows.
Apart from being an actor, Nithya is also a singer and has sung many songs like “Payasa” (Kannada, 2010), “Edo Anukunte” (Telugu, 2011), “Ammammo Ammo” (Malayalam, 2011), “Oh Priya” Priya” (Telugu, 2012) and “Payasam (Malayalam, 2012)”.
