Nithya Shetty started her career as a child artist in 1999 with the Telugu film Chinni Chinni Aasa. Later, she played the role of Bhavani in the Telugu film Devullu.

After appearing in around 20 films as a child actor, Nithya decided to take a break from acting to focus on her higher education.
