This true crime thriller centers on Amy Loughren, a single mother with cardiomyopathy who develops a close friendship with a fellow night shift nurse. However, when a number of mysterious deaths occur at the hospital, Amy begins to doubt the people she relies on.
good nurse Based on the novel by Charles Graeber, it tells the true story of serial killer Charles Cullen, who murdered his patients while working as a night nurse. Amy Loren personally participated in the production of the film, and the main cast includes Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne, Kim Dickens, Malik Joba and Alex West Liver Le.
Actors Nnamdi Asomugha chats with Noah Emmerich screen roar and share their initial reactions after hearing the true story of serial killer Charles Cullen and working with the real person their characters were based on.

Screen Rant: I really enjoyed this movie. I think you all do a fantastic job. Did you first hear about these events when you were reading the script and working on the film?
Noah Emmerich: Yeah, embarrassingly enough, I knew absolutely nothing about the story. I don’t know anything about it. I read the script. When I read the script I didn’t even know it was a true story. I thought this was a made-up story, but later I found out it was true. It’s really funny, shocking and scary. Again, you know, our journey into this project and really learning more about it.
Nnamdi Asomugha: Yes, me too. I have no idea. I didn’t know until I got the materials. I had never heard of Charles Cullen or anyone involved in this. I don’t know the story. But once you get the material and you see how horrific it is, you see that it’s a true story and you feel like you owe it to real people to tell this story in the right way.
Now that this is true, how much research did you end up doing? You play as a police officer trying to solve a crime.
Noah Emmerich: I just wanted to add, I just thought of this because it’s interesting that none of us had heard this story. This is the worst serial killer in American history. We are a country obsessed with serial killers. We’ve been telling tons of serial killer stories and everyone’s been reading them. Yet no one knows this story. It makes you wonder why.
Yeah, I’ve never heard of it myself.
Noah Emmerich: I wonder why this story about a serial killer who was protected by the system for years… I wonder why this story has never been told. It’s an interesting thing to think about, and even more grateful that we’re telling it now. Now turning to another question about research, there is a book called “The Good Nurse” which is the bible of this story.
It’s really thoroughly researched, beautifully written, and has all the stories covered. We read that book and that was our real story bible. Fortunately, we were able to meet our characters, Danny Baldwin and Tim Braun, who were incredibly generous with their time, energy, and spirit, and were supportive, generous, gracious, and dedicated to our Sailing provides the motivation. go ahead.
Now that you have the opportunity to tell this story, what do you hope the audience takes away from the characters, the real people, or the events that took place in the hospital?
Nnamdi Asomugha: Yeah, that’s interesting. You know, Noah always said something like – “You’re going to get something out of this, you’re going to get something out of this,” or something like that. Everyone goes into the movie with their own biases and their own ideas, and that’s what they get out of the movie. I think, for me, I just want them to see that there are people out there who are bravely taking steps to take down people who need to be taken down. Even if it’s the biggest risk of your career, or a big risk to your life, there are heroes out there doing it, and I think that really encourages other people to speak up and do their part.
