Kitty is ready for the whole new school year — and new love triangles.
Netflix released the first trailer for To all the boys I’ve loved before YA spinoff XO, Kitty season 2. While the first season introduced audiences to a new round of faces, the upcoming season will include the appearance of fan favorite Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo).
Anna Cathcart returns as Kitty, Song Covey’s youngest sister and the mastermind behind the letters that drive the plot of the Netflix film series. Cathcart returns to Seoul for a new semester at the Korea International School Seoul (KISS).
As she continues to learn more about her late mother and her legacy, she discovers a letter from her mother’s past that sets her on an unexpected new journey. All the while, she navigates her drama-free fresh start and newfound single persona.

Kitty is ready to start casual relationships, but as the trailer suggests, when she wakes up from a conflicted dream, she has to learn how to pick up the pieces after the Season 1 finale. The high school girl not only found out that her friend Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) has feelings for her, but also came to terms with her crush on Yuri (Gia Kim).
“Last semester ended with so much drama,” says Kitty in the announcement. “This semester I have clear priorities, I will throw myself into books and finally find out who my mom really was. I’m ready to launch Kitty 2.0.”
Kitty starts running and finds herself managing her friendship with Min Ho while exploring her sexuality.

But as the trailer continues and Kitty appears to be navigating new friendships, she says, “When I came to KISS, I never felt like an outsider.”
“Luckily, there’s nothing better than a friendly face at home,” she quickly adds, as Centine’s Peter greets her with open arms — while wearing his Stanford sweatpants.
As the announcement draws to a close, she says, “It’s a brand new semester and I’m going to make the most of it.” It then quickly cuts to Peter sweetly encouraging Kitty, telling her, “You’re Kitty Song fucking Covey, don’t forget that,” before the teasing comes to a close.

While the trailer didn’t reveal why Peter is in Seoul, Centineo said the reunion with Cathcart “was amazing,” according to Tudum.com. He shared, “She is so incredibly talented and her work ethic comes through in every scene. Returning back to To all Boys universe was a real joy and I hope our incredible audience enjoys seeing Peter again as much as I did.”
XO, Kitty host Jessica O’Toole, added, “The opportunity to include Peter Kavinsky in that journey was so exciting. I can’t wait for fans to see Peter interact with some of their favorites XO, Kitty characters and see all the other juicy surprises we have in store.”
